CMC is a binder (or organic glue).
- Add 1 tsp of CMC to cup of hot water.
- Stir well.
- Let stand for ½ hour before use.
- Keep sealed and in the fridge to extend its shelf life.
Can be put into glaze to help with suspension - Use one to one ratio – so one cup dry glaze to one cup glue.
Some people put stains into CMC solution and then applied to both greenware and bisque.
